Risk Manager and  Captive CEO

Ali held a number of executive positions in a large oil company, particularly as Risk Manager and CEO of their Captive.  In this position, Ali was responsible for the placement of large risks, the negotiation of complex claims, and accountable for the risk strategy of the group.

Major accomplishments

His significant accomplishments include the negotiation and collection of a USD 683 million claim, placing above USD 100 million in premiums to protect offshore and onshore facilities, paying close to USD 1 billion historical dividends to the group based on the sound financial utilization of the captive and a transparency policy leading to next to USD 100 million underwriting cost optimization.

In addition to his activities as a risk manager and CEO, Ali is also active as a consultant and negotiator in Maritime and Property Energy Claims. He also participates in the development of insurance courses using digital technologies.
